Wendy Williams is not happy that a court has appointed a guardian to oversee her finances as her legal dispute with Wells Fargo drags on.
A daytime diva advocate said page 6 Friday that Williams doesn’t want anyone else controlling his money.
“Please note that Wendy does not agree with the appointment of a financial guardian by the court. Wendy has made it very clear that she does not want a financial guardian telling her what she can and can’t do with his money,” attorney La’Shawn Thomas said in a statement.

The statement came after a New York judge on Thursday appointed a guardian over Williams’ finances until July, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Williams, who spoke about his lawsuit against Wells Fargo, accused the bank of wrongdoing.
The banking giant froze her accounts in February after claiming she was an ‘incapable person’ who needed a guardian. As the dispute continues, it has reportedly affected its ability to make employee payrolls and mortgage payments.
In a video posted to her new Instagram account on March 23, Williams said it was “not fair” that she was banned from her accounts and called her financial adviser, Lori Schiller.
“My thing is, I asked about my money and when I started asking about my money, all of a sudden Lori Schiller got no response regarding my money. I want my money. It’s not fair,” Williams said.

The author and talk show host also slammed her former manager, Bernie Young, and accused him of using her credit card to hire a lawyer to file a lawsuit against her.
“I know for a fact that Bernie Young used my American Express card to hire a lawyer to file a lawsuit against me. It was done with my American Express card,” she said. “You’re no good and that’s not fair at all.”
She said there’s a doctor plotting with Schiller. “And then there’s this person…a former doctor…who had medical information about me that I never even had!” It was sent to Lori Schiller. So I didn’t get this thing.
As previously stated, Debmar-Mercury – the producer and distributor behind The Wendy Williams Show — canceled Williams’ daytime chat show after his current season due to his ongoing health issues.
Since Season 13 of the show launched on October 18, 2021, Williams has never made a single on-air appearance.
The season’s original premiere date was repeatedly pushed back due to Williams contracting a breakthrough case of COVID-19 and complications from his previous diagnosis of Graves’ disease.
Several guest hosts came and went and Sherri Shepherd quickly became a fan favorite.
A new show hosted by Shepherd will launch in the fall and take over Williams’ timeslot.
