Wells Fargo says Wendy Williams should be considered for conservatorship and has sent a letter to the New York Supreme Court asking for a hearing so it can be decided whether Williams needs someone else to handle her affairs financial. It comes after the bank froze his assets because his former financial adviser Lori Schiller claimed she was not competent enough to handle his funds.
“We are concerned about [Williams’] situation,” attorney David H. Pikus wrote in a letter to Judge Arlene Bluth, page 6 reported. “We hope that the guardianship party [of the court] will shortly appoint a temporary tutor or assessor to review the situation and ensure that [Williams’] business is well managed. »
Pikus also said he believes the gossip queen is a “victim of undue influence and financial abuse” and that “other independent third parties who know [Williams] well…share those concerns. She was also called an “incapable person”.
“Williams’ attorney, Celeste N. McCaw, denied that she was being exploited and that Schiller was fired due to ‘inappropriate conduct in connection with their professional relationship.’ Wells Fargo sent its letter to the New York Supreme Court after McCaw filed an emergency motion because the bank was denying Williams “any access, online or otherwise, to his financial, active and statement accounts” for two weeks .
“We deny any allegations of improper actions regarding Ms. Williams’ accounts and are fully participating in a legal process to reach a resolution that is in her best interests. The financial well-being of our customers is at the heart of everything we do. »
As Williams struggles with her bank and also has personal issues, Sherri Shepherd has been named permanent guest host for The Wendy Williams Show. Starting in September 2022, Shepherd, who was the guest host with the highest ratings, will take over for the 15th season.
