Model Anne Vyalitsyna has gone to court to force her former high-tech executive fiance to pay $ 8,500 in monthly child support after claiming her earnings plummeted during the pandemic.
In files filed with the Manhattan Supreme Court, Vyalitsyna, 35, said her earnings fell from $ 431,000 in 2019 to $ 77,687 in 2020 as the pandemic brought the fashion industry to a halt.
More than $ 26,000 of her earnings came from unemployment benefits, although the model owns a $ 2.9 million apartment in the West Village and has $ 2.6 million in investment and savings.
âWhile I had a total of 17 paid jobs in 2020, half of them were unpaid. In the past six months I’ve only had six jobs – I worked a maximum of twice a month, âshe said in court records.
Vyalitsyna told the court she had monthly expenses of $ 40,284, including $ 6,815 for housing and $ 4,833 for her daughter’s tuition at Avenues: The World School in Chelsea.
She says her attempts to get the father of her 5-year-old daughter Alaska – former Yahoo senior vice president Adam Cahan – to pay child support have been ignored. The model says she needed child support so that she could afford a nanny and return to work full time.
âI have to work and I can’t do it without the help of a nanny,â she said in documents.
The couple welcomed their daughter in 2015 and announced their engagement the following year.
