Giada De Laurentiis has to shell out a lot of dough to her ex-husband – and not the kind found in the kitchen.
Celebrity chef and designer Todd Thompson has finalized his divorce, and while the couple will have joint custody of their 7-year-old daughter, Jade Marie, De Laurentiis will have to pay $9,000 a month in child support, TMZ reports. The couple have been married for 11 years.
As for properties, Thompson walks away with his $3.2 million Pacific Palisades home and a whopping $300,000 in various artwork and home furnishings. He will also retain his membership in the ritzy Bel-Air Bay Club.
Joint bank accounts totaling more than $2 million will also be split, by site.
Laurentiis, 45, will retain the rights to GDL Foods Inc. and its production company, Linguine Pictures.
But because the former couple, who split in December 2014, didn’t have a prenuptial agreement, Laurentiis has to pay Thompson, 52, half of the advances for various cookbooks in the works, according to TMZ.
Luckily, each party can leave this wedding in their own Porsche. And no alimony will be awarded.
A request for comment from De Laruentiis’ representative was not immediately returned.
