Britney Spears’ guardianship is all over the internet because she wants her father replaced. However, she was not the only celebrity placed under guardianship.
After Britney Spears’ much-publicized nervous breakdown in 2007, her father, Jamie, became her legal guardian, taking control of most of the singer’s financial and medical decisions.
Today, and although she tried to replace Jamie with Jodi Montgomery, she is still under guardianship. One thing is clear though: she wasn’t the only one celebrity under the same conditions.
The bassist and co-founder of the Eagles Randy Meisner is different from the other celebrities on this list as he applied for temporary guardianship following the death of his wife, Lana Meisner, in a gun crash.
The musician, who suffers from bipolar disorder, suffers from drug addiction and has threatened to hurt himself and others, claimed he could barely accept Lana’s tragic loss.
Randy was entrusted to Arthur Ford, his longtime friend. Its finances were controlled by accountant Tom DeLong.
Former child actress Amanda Bynes, best known for “It All,” was placed in psychiatric custody for 30 days in 2013 after starting a small fire in the driveway of her home in Thousand Oaks, Calif.
As a result, a judge granted her mother and father, Lynn and Richard Bynes, temporary guardianship over Amanda’s personal affairs, including her medical treatment and finances.
Unfortunately, Amanda has been arrested several times for drunk driving and has entered and left mental institutions. His parents are therefore still his curators.

The case of the DJ Casey Kasem was pretty dramatic. As he suffered from Parkinson’s disease, his health was fragile, so he needed a guardian.
His wife Jean Kasem was named his curator, but his children from a previous marriage, including Kerri and Julie, disagreed. Until Casey’s death, her children and Jean fought in court for guardianship rights.
In May 2014, Kerri was appointed his curator, but only a few weeks later he died. Casey’s children believed that his death could have been avoided if they had been the ones to take care of him from day one. Jean did not face criminal charges.
“Chalk Mark in a Rain Storm” was released this week in 1988.

After Canadian singer-songwriter Joni Mitchell suffered a brain aneurysm in March 2015, she couldn’t speak properly. Mitchell’s friend, Leslie Morris, became its curator in May.
Their deal was different from those previously mentioned on this list, however, as Morris was only allowed to make medical decisions for the musician – Mitchell retained control of his finances.
[Mickey Rooney] accused his stepson, Christopher Aber, of elder abuse.
The Mickey Rooney Affair was also very dramatic. The late actor has accused his stepson, Christopher Aber, of elder abuse, saying he refused to give him food and medicine and even threatened, intimidated and harassed him.
In February 2011, Rooney and his estate were placed under the care of Michael Augustine, his lawyer. According to Augustine, Rooney said he had so little money that he couldn’t even buy flowers for his wife.
The late actor struggled with drug addiction and a gambling habit for years. According to Aber, he was forced to stay 100 feet from his stepfather. Rooney died in April 2014.
founder of the Beach Boys Brian wilson gained a lot of attention in 1991 after his brother Carl and cousins Mike and Stan Love claimed his home psychiatrist Eugene Landy was taking advantage of him.
The singer, who has struggled with mental health for most of her life, is said to have been Landy’s “multi-million dollar cash cow”, said Carl, Mike and Stan, who also said she had brainwashed him.
If that wasn’t enough, they claimed Landy allegedly never treated Wilson’s mental illnesses. The name and responsibilities of Wilson’s curator were not disclosed.
